Realm of Souls. Experience Ultima Online as it is in the modern era, but, with unique twists to make the game more accessible and fun. There will be other advancements coming, but the core maps will be “Vanilla” based. We’ve enabled full PVP on all maps! We decided on the OSI tweaked style because of the amazing custom built servers out there already. Realm of Souls runs on ServUO and is on a dedicated host. Current notable features are:
- Champion spawns and town invasions.
- 10 Skill cap. Up to 1200 skill points using power scrolls.
- 325 Default Stat cap. Power scrolls from champ spawns can increase.
- Increased skill gain over standard OSI rule sets. Less time grinding!
- Training area in Britain. Safe, guarded region to train skills.
- Power Hour feature. Using .powerhour in game will increase your skill gain even further for one hour. The cool down is 6 hours.
- “Young Player” status for 100 hours per account. Revocable anytime you wish.
- 1 account per IP and 3 characters per account. 2 houses per account. The most recent placed house will auto refresh.
- Reds are allowed in Trammel.
- Felucca style PVP rules on ALL facets. Felucca, Trammel, Ilshenar, Malas, Tokuno & TerMur all have the same classic PVP rules.
- Daily reboots at 7am EST/4am PST.
- Early Player Gifts: FREE Small Brick House, a Spellbook with 43 spells, Special Runebook, Bag of Reagents, Stats Ball (Maximize Stats) and 8k in Gold!
Rules:
Ultima Online can be grueling and there are complicated situations that can arise. We want to make the game fun for experienced players and “noobs” alike. Punishments will range from Jail time, temp ban or permanant depending on the severity of the infraction.
These rules can and will change as our world evolves.
- No exploiting. If you discover an exploit you will let us know and not abuse it. Duh.
- AFK macroing is fine. Have at it.
- No ‘isms. Racism, Sexism etc. The speech you use in game shall be free of IRL hate speech and other personal types of attacks on each other.
- No IRL Politics. We’re here to get away from reality, not bathe in it.
- No targeted griefing. What do we mean?
- Do not kill the same player over and over for the sake of it. Give them some space to get geared again. The exceptions for this are if you’re still looting their corpse or they come back to attack you in retaliation. A good reference of time would be 15 minutes unless otherwise drawn into combat again with the same individual.
- Guild Wars & Factions are mostly exempt from this except in the case where the “defeated” are clearly not fighting back and you have nothing to gain from killing back to back to back.
- No Advertising: Other shards, other bodies of work, crypto etc. It is totally fine to advertise your in-game vendors, items you’re selling or Guild recruitment in our Shard.
- Stream Sniping will not be tolerated. It’s another form of griefing.
- No impersonating Staff or begging to become one. If we’re “hiring”, we’ll put a post out of which you can apply for.
- Do not argue with Staff members. Moderating people is challenging. A conversation about a decision is one thing. Outright attacking their decision is another and won’t be tolerated.
Download & Play:
Accessing our shard requires a few things. You’ll need the U.O. classic files launcher to install the game, a launcher (we recommend ClassicUO – not the “classic” client included with the files download) and an assistant tool. We plan to make our own installer soon.
